Exisiting Conditions

There are multiple, obvious masonry joint issues in various locations concentrated in the older section of the building.  The issues on the first floor areas of the boiler room and shop areas are symptomatic of moisture infiltration which through years of exposure to heat and cold, where expansion and contraction occurs, the mortar has loosened, degraded, and fallen out.  The little Gym area has joint fissures which may be the result of a combination of factors, including both moisture infiltration as described above, and also foundation settling due to hydrostatic pressures underground and around the foundation of the building.
